Partial reopening of the Airport’s Observation Deck after around ten years of closure
Un document
After around ten years of closure, EuroAirport will be able to reopen part of its observation deck to visitors on October 18, 2025. The observation deck had been closed due to security reasons. Thanks to a newly developed security concept, partial reopening is now possible - much to the delight of the Airport.
In the future, visitors will once again be able to enjoy the panoramic view over the apron as well as the activity on the Airport’s runways.
Refreshments are also available: on the French side, the Rossopomodoro restaurant invites you to enjoy a nice meal or a hot drink outside in the sun, even during fall and winter. On the Swiss side, the Skybar serves drinks with a view across the tarmac. The observation deck is usually open daily from 06:00 to 21:00. On October 18, it will open at 09:00.
“We are delighted to be able to offer visitors an insight into airport operations again after such a long time. A lot of people are fascinated by the special atmosphere at an airport - and in the future, we would like to enable this experience more intensely again”, explains Tobias Markert, Managing Director of Basel-Mulhouse Airport.
The partial reopening of the observation deck is another step toward making the Airport more tangible again for travellers and people from the region alike - in compliance with applicable security requirements.
