Juice Americas Inc. founded: Juice Technology AG makes the leap across the big pond
Juice Technology AG announces the founding of Juice Americas Inc.
Juice Technology AG, producer of electric charging stations and software and the market leader in portable charging stations for electric vehicles, is expanding its market territory to the United States and founding the subsidiary Juice Americas Inc. headquartered in the state of Delaware.
Coming on the heels of an expansion into the Far East, Juice is broadening its geographical presence to encompass North America, achieving yet another milestone in the company’s history. It was clear right from the start that this step would come, sooner or later. With the company pursuing long-term objectives, the perfect point in time for the move needed to be well-considered. As a client base has already been established in the U.S., the focus now will turn more closely to strategic business interests.
Christoph Erni, CEO and founder of Juice Technology AG, puts it this way: “Public policy-making and the economy in the U.S. are now pointing in the right direction. The federal government’s entire fleet of official cars – some 645,000 vehicles – is to be electrified. And the major automakers such as General Motors are now pushing advancements in mobility change, and planning to electrify all their vehicles by 2035. This is why today is the right time to plant our flag in the United States.”
Despite the fact that electric vehicles (EV) so far claim only about a two-percent share (as of January 2021) of the U.S. auto market, the potential in the United States, with over 100 million cars estimated to be on the road, is vast.
“Mobility change will take more than just the availability of affordable e-vehicle models: there’s a vital need, too, for sensible and sustainable charging infrastructure,” says Michael Boehm, General Manager of Juice Americas. “There must be simple and flexible means available to consumers of charging safely and reliably at any time. Portable charging solutions play a key role in this convenience – especially in a country with such vast travel distances. Our portable wallboxes provide the missing piece to this puzzle.”
Boehm is currently building the team for Juice in the United States. With Swiss roots and a university degree in communications studies under his belt, he’s been active in the automotive supplier industry for 25 years, and lived the past 22 years mostly in the United States. Having worked almost 15 years as Director of Marketing & Sales at Suhner Manufacturing Inc., Boehm brings a wealth experience to tackle his new mission at Juice.
Juice Technology AG enjoys worldwide presence at multiple locations with its own branch offices, subsidiaries and partner companies, and also has a global network of resellers at its disposal. The company’s in-house workforce meanwhile numbers 170 employees active in development, production, marketing, sales and logistics. The Juice Group is now expanding to include Juice Americas Inc.
