segment (EPS) could improve its results only marginally.Strong Revenue Growth
In the business year 2007, consolidated revenues increased by 28.6 percent
to EUR 180.2 million. In the HPS segment, revenues increased by 22.9
percent to EUR 104.6 million. HCS segment revenues increased by 27.1
percent to EUR 72.8 million. The EPS segment reached revenues in the
amount of EUR 5.2 million, thus also showing a slight increase.Adjusted Group EBITDA improved by 34.7 Percent
The adjusted consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation
and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 34.7 percent to EUR 51.6 million in
the past business year. In the HPS segment, EBITDA increased by 49.8
percent compared to the last year to an amount of EUR 22.7 million. The
HCS segment continues to show strong profitability with an EBITDA of EUR
37.5 million in the business year 2007. Another improvement could be
achieved in the EPS segment. Here the EBITDA is EUR -2.6 million.Net Income has doubled: EUR 22.84 Million - Cash Earnings per Share have
risen to EUR 0.78
The costs of the IPO as well as a revaluation of deferred taxes due to
lowered corporate taxes had the expected positive, yet exceptional
influence of EUR 7.7 million on the reported tax rate. As a result, the
annual net income increased above average by 100.5 percent to EUR 22.8
million. The adjusted earnings per share (Cash EPS based on Cash Net
Income) amount to EUR 0.78 compared to EUR 0.55 in the previous business
year. This reflects a PE of about 15 for the year 2007. In the light of
CompuGROUP's strong penchant for growth, it is clear that the company's
shares promise to perform particularly well in the future.Highlights in 2007
In 2007 CompuGROUP has further strengthened its international presence and
consistently invested in the strategic expansion of all three business
segments HPS, HCS and EPS.Thus the company's basis for further growth in the international market
has once more expanded significantly: Its access to doctors in
governmental healthcare in Europe has increased remarkably. No other
eHealth provider on the continent has such a large customer basis of
doctors in governmental healthcare as CompuGROUP.The newest pillar of CompuGROUP's business model - the company's portfolio
of innovative software products for hospitals and clinics - has turned
into a success story right after its introduction. The integration of
hospitals into CompuGROUP's network offers them completely new
perspectives when it comes to increasing their efficiency in times of
everrising costs.Faced with ongoing, massive structural changes of the German healthcare
system which focus primarily on new concepts for the allocation of medical
care, CompuGROUP responded with a ground-breaking innovation in 2007: For
the first time, the history of complex medical treatments can be tracked
and electronically mapped for individual patients to be supplemented with
software-based suggestions for treatment in the managed care context.
CompuGROUP has developed a complete software solution for the mapping of
comprehensive managed care contracts covering a large variety of medical
indications. We expect a high demand for such solutions in the future from
both governmental as well as private health insurances.Number of Employees Has Grown
As of December 31, 2007, the holding employed a total of 1,692 persons.
This represents a 28-percent increase or 371 persons compared to the
previous year.Outlook for 2008: Further Growth of Revenues and EBITDA
Based on the product portfolio's further strategic development across all
segments, as well as on the continuously fostered market cultivation and
increasing demand for CompuGROUP's products, an even stronger business
growth surpassing the results of 2007 is expected. For the business year
2008, the management board of CompuGROUP expects consolidated revenues of
at least EUR 215 million and an EBITDA of at least EUR 65 million.About CompuGROUP Holding AG
