As of March 14, 2005, Orange will integrate the
SMS option with the Optima automatic rates system. With this new
option, Optima customers will automatically be charged the lowest
possible SMS rate available to them each month. All new Optima
customers will automatically benefit from the lowest possible SMS
rate based on their individual usage.
In September 2004, Orange introduced an automatic rates system in
which customers are charged the lowest national talk time rates
available to them each month based on the Orange rates system. At
that time, Orange had announced that it was also going to extend
this rates system to its data services. With the SMS option
integration Orange has taken one step ahead in this direction.
"Our research shows that for up to 50% our customers, the amount
of their monthly bill fluctuates by 50%.. In other words, SMS usage
fluctuates in the same way as the number of calls made Customers who
use Optima now are no longer part of the 90% of Swiss mobile phone
customers who, according to comparison studies, pay too much due to
using the wrong system. Optima SMS automatically charges the lowest
SMS rate and at 15 cents per SMS, it is one of the lowest priced SMS
rates available anywhere," explains Marketing Director Timm
Degenhardt the offer Optima SMS.

Optima automatically adjusts the customer's rates, including talk
time minutes to the individual call volume each month. As a new
service, Optima also adjusts the SMS rates. If less than 30 SMS are
sent, each SMS costs 25 cents. If more than 30 SMS are sent, each
SMS then only costs 15 cents. This plan is available by activating
the automatic SMS option for a monthly fee of CHF 3.
Customers who order a new Optima price plan will take advantage of
the automatic rates adjustment for calls and SMS. Existing Optima
customers can contact customer service to have Optima SMS activated
for them.
