UBM Announces Partnership Agreement With Trade Organisation - SIPPO

Germany (ots/PRNewswire)

In June UBM signed a partnership agreement with The Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), a performance mandate of SECO implemented by the foreign promotion department of OSEC, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of small and medium size enterprises from emerging markets in developing countries.

Through their partnership, UBM and SIPPO are recognising the importance of corporate social responsibility as part of their ongoing business models. The SIPPO programme helps small and medium sized enterprises in developing and transition countries to enhance their skills and gain a foothold in the Swiss and European markets by providing a wide range of information, training courses and matchmaking services.

Both parties will work directly with companies who have completed the SIPPO programme to assist in the trade promotion process. The overall purpose of the partnership is to encourage sustainable economic growth thus improving the contribution of small and medium sized enterprises from these emerging and transition markets in the global economy.

UBM holds CSR in the highest regard and to help the companies supported by SIPPO to gain maximum long term benefits, they are offering the opportunity to exhibit at Health ingredients Europe, Natural ingredients and Nutrition and Wellness 2012 (HiE, Ni & NuW) alongside a line up of over 600 other leading companies from around the globe. The event will offer valuable networking and advertising opportunities for companies participating in the SIPPO pavilion to aid them in their movement into Europe. These companies also have access to a range of free promotional tools to further improve their exhibiting experience.

Natasha Berrow, Brand Director for UBM's Food Portfolio, expressed her excitement about working with SIPPO and fully supports UBM in helping these small and medium sized enterprises as much as possible to ensure they succeed in the European market.

"We are delighted to welcome SIPPO companies to our European Food ingredients and Health ingredients events. Our new partnership will provide a cost-effective platform for SME's from emerging markets and markets in transition, to reach senior buyers from across Europe and the Globe"
