MEDION AG: Ad-hoc announcement in accordance with § 15 of the German 
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) Preliminary figures for Q1 2008
MEDION AG: Q1 2008 earnings significantly surpass previous year
According to preliminary unaudited figures, earnings before interest 
and  taxes (EBIT) of Medion AG for the 1st quarter of 2008 will  
improve  to  approx.  EUR 6.7 million from the prior-year total of 
EUR 4.6 million. Due to a  positive financial result of EUR 0.5 
million in 2008  after  a  negative  financial result  of  EUR -0.1 
million in 2007, earnings before taxes will rise even stronger  than 
EBIT  from EUR 4.5 million in 2007 to approx. EUR 7.2 million in  Q1 
2008.  As  a  consequence, MEDION's earnings per share will increase 
to approx. EUR 0.11 in Q1 2008,  up  from EUR 0.06 in Q1 2007. Sales 
in Q1 2008 will rise to EUR 420 million from  EUR 406  million in the
previous year. The more attractive product portfolio  played  a  
decisive role in the significant improvement in earnings.
