FAST & CIBER Sign Nordic Reseller Agreement

OSLO, Norway and LONDON, July 1 (ots/PRNewswire)

-
- CIBER to Resell FAST's Powerful Enterprise Search Platform
Fast Search & Transfer(TM) (FAST(TM)), the leading developer of
enterprise search and real-time alerting technologies, and CIBER, a
leading international systems integration consultancy, today
announced a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement, making CIBER a FAST
reseller with a primary focus in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
With this agreement, FAST's Enterprise Search Platform (FAST
ESP(TM)) will be marketed and resold by CIBER to its customers as a
stand-alone search technology solution, and will also be marketed as
the key search infrastructure for portals and online communities.
FAST ESP offers customers and partners, such as CIBER, the most
comprehensive combination of powerful real-time search technology,
business search management tools, and information analysis
capabilities. CIBER can now extend these capabilities to its wide
range of customers.
"Our partnership with FAST enables us to provide organisations
with a 360-degree view of all of their information," said Steinar
Sveen, Country Manager, CIBER Norway. "FAST ESP is a proven solution
for locating and presenting information within disparate databases.
Given the strong rise of Web portals, we're certain our current and
future customers will benefit greatly from FAST's technology."
FAST has transformed enterprise search from a powerful, yet
narrowly perceived function, into an enterprise-wide strategic and
tactical capability of pivotal importance. FAST ESP and the FAST
portfolio of solutions are the latest in a line of FAST technology
that marries a no-technical-boundaries approach with a clear
understanding of real-world requirements, including extraordinary
performance, precise accuracy, broad reach, and high return on
investment.
"Forming a relationship with CIBER presents a win-win situation
for both of our organisations," said Ali I. Riaz, FAST's chief
operating officer. "While FAST will benefit and expand its footprint
in the Nordic region through CIBER's strong presence, CIBER will be
equipped with FAST ESP, a powerful enterprise search solution that
has continuously demonstrated its ability to increase revenues, lower
total cost of ownership, and bring a speedy return on investment."
FAST ESP is offered through the FAST Data Search(TM) suite of
enterprise search solutions, which includes FAST Data Search(TM) for
Site Search; FAST Data Search(TM) for Compliance; FAST Data
Search(TM) for eCommerce; FAST Data Search(TM) for Intranets; FAST
