Cablecom is launching a unique offer for new
customers who decide to subscribe for digital phone and hispeed
internet before the end of June. Swiss customers and foreign citizens
alike benefit from this special offer - they all get up to CHF
1,200.00 worth of free phone calls to a fixed network of a country of
their choice. With this credit, they can make CHF 100 of free phone
calls for 12 months. That's up to 16 hours per month for a whole
year. In addition, their phone calls on the Swiss fixed network are
free every night and weekend.
For the first time, cablecom's new customers get up to CHF
1,200.00 worth of free phone calls to a country of their choice. As
part of the new offer, cablecom gives its customers up to 1,000 free
minutes for phone calls abroad or unlimited free calls on the Swiss
network for up to a year.
Free calls on the Swiss fixed network for a year
Only recently, cablecom's digital phone product was rated "very
good" and ranked number one in a test conducted by Kassensturz.
Cablecom now offers all new digital phone customers, most of whose
friends, relatives and acquaintances live in Switzerland, CHF 100.00
worth of free calls on the Swiss fixed network every month. When
digital phone is bought alone, this offer is valid for six months.
The benefits for those who subscribe for hispeed internet at the same
time are even greater: they can make free phone calls on the Swiss
fixed network for a whole year.
In touch with other cultures
In the age of globalization, it is possible to overcome
geographical distances in no time thanks to technological progress
and better connections. Every year, numerous people living in
Switzerland spend their vacations abroad. In addition, the 2004 study
of the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) showed that almost
every third long-distance call is an international call and that the
tendency for international calls is on the increase. According to a
recent internal survey conducted by cablecom, however, most callers
(73 percent) who frequently call abroad make phone calls to one
country in particular.
With cablecom's introductory package customers now get CHF 100.00
worth of free phone calls to a fixed network of their choice every
month. For example, for calls to Switzerland's neighboring countries
Germany, Italy and France - countries which are among the favorite
long-distance call destinations among current digital phone customers
- this amounts to a talking credit of 1,000 minutes (i.e. 16 hours
and 40 minutes).
Call home for free
Numerous people from other cultural backgrounds live in
Switzerland. They already have the opportunity of watching television
programs from their home country thanks to digital tv. All new
customers who subscribe for digital phone now get CHF 100.00 worth of
free phone calls to the fixed network of their home country every
month. The offer is valid for half a year when digital phone is
bought alone. Those who opt for hispeed internet in addition to
digital phone even get as much as CHF 1,200.00 worth of free phone
calls (CHF 100 for 12 months) to the fixed network of their home
country for a whole year. For example, those who have left their
loved ones behind in Turkey can forget the time for more than three
hours every month while on the phone to the Turkish fixed network.
High growth rates for digital phone and hispeed internet
In the year 2005, cablecom recorded a growth rate of more than 80
percent for its digital phone product. In April 2006, the number of
digital telephony customers reached 200,000. For the product hispeed
internet which was launched as early as 1999, growth continues at an
impressive rate of 26 percent. The majority of cablecom digital phone
customers prefer bundling their products, i.e. they subscribe for
hispeed internet at the same time.
