Skymicro Inc. Announces New Customers and Launches Global Expansion at IBC 2003 Stand 7.617

Skymicro Inc, the leading Thousand Oaks,
California, OEM provider of Merlin 2003, a high-end video capture and
codec board today announced a host of new worldwide customers and
global expansion plans.
A selection of new global customers for Skymicro's Merlin 2003 are
joining the likes of Silicon Graphics Inc. (NYSE: SGI) and Raytheon
(NYSE: RTN) (USA) and includes Tokyo Electron (Japan), Proximity
Group (Australia), Beehive Systems (India), Just Edit (Spain) and
Masstech Corp (Canada). The application space in which the board is
used varies widely from Non-Linear Editing systems, to video play-
out, video-on-demand serving and DVD authoring.
OEM customers are excited by Skymicro's high level of engineering
support and the flexibility of the Merlin 2003 board. Confirming
this, Mr. Jordi Utiel CEO of Just Edit remarked; "Selecting a
hardware partner for our line of video servers and editing systems
was a critical decision. We found the Skymicro Merlin 2003 the most
