NetOp School Sets New Standards to Evaluate Students in Networked Classrooms

Copenhagen, Denmark (ots/PRNewswire)

- The New Version 4.0 of NetOp School Now Offers a Powerful
Testing Utility, 1-2-3 Wizards, Video Streaming, and Much More
Danware, provider of the world's most comprehensive computer-based
teaching software, announced today the new NetOp School 4.0 with a
scheduled mid May release.
NetOp School is a powerful tool enabling teachers to monitor and
control student PCs in a computer equipped classroom environment.
Teachers can simultaneously view multiple students' screens as
thumbnail images on a single screen. They can also monitor and
control students individually in real-time. And most importantly, it
puts the teacher in control of the computer-based classroom,
providing a number of tools that help the teacher conduct effective
teaching sessions.
Ole Haag, Product Manager for NetOp School explains: "NetOp School
gives all students first-hand instruction and in effect, a front-row
seat in the classroom. Teachers can choose to allow students to work
independently while monitoring their individual progress. What's
more, using the Lock feature, teachers can be confident that they are
always in control because they can obtain the immediate attention of
the whole class at the click of a button, locking the mouse, screen,
and keyboard of every student in order to present new information or
keep students on track. They can even control the students' use of
applications and Internet."
NetOp School's new integrated Test Center facility provides
teachers with an effective tool for producing and administering tests
and surveys over a network connection. Now teachers can generate
tests from a variety of question types, including multiple-choice,
match text, match image, drop-down list, label image, ordering,
essay, and even text completion dictation. Additional configurations
enable teachers to set time limits on questions, get real-time
reporting, and even administer auto-scoring for immediate test
results. Questions may also include information resources such as
external Web links and files.
This dynamic educational tool is easy to set up and easy to learn,
even for people who are less confident in front of a PC. Easy to use
1-2-3 Wizards provide simple instructions for walking users through
the application's many features.
NetOp School now has video streaming capabilities to enable
teachers and students to see each other during audio or chat
sessions. Now, with the use of a webcam, networked classroom
attendees can engage in video conferencing for remote training and
distance learning implementations. Additionally, teachers now have
the ability to take snapshots of their students' screens for later
discussion or for reprimanding students for the improper use of their
computers.
