Ardendo Selected for IBM's ISV Advantage for Industries Initiative to Deliver Broadcast Asset Management Solutions
Software Vendor First to Join In Media and Entertainment Industry

Stockholm, Sweden (ots)

Ardendo, a leading provider of media
asset management software, today announced it has been selected for
IBM's ISV Advantage for Industries initiative, a program that
provides independent software vendors (ISVs) with technical and
marketing support to help meet the industry-specific needs of
customers.
As the first ISV in the media and entertainment industry to join
the program, Ardendo offers a comprehensive portfolio of asset
management solutions that help broadcasters adopt IT-centric, on
demand production environments. Built on open standards, Ardendo's
software platform offers a secure, scalable and flexible way for
customers to archive, transcode, browse, edit and integrate digital
media.
"Our strong entrepreneurial roots and expertise in engineering
design have made Ardendo a niche market leader in media asset
management," said Jonas Engström, CEO of Ardendo. "Combined with the
global market reach of IBM, we're well positioned to help modernize
customer production environments across the globe."
The ISV Advantage for Industries program provides extended
benefits for select global industry ISVs that adopt IBM's on demand
solutions and commit to go to market with IBM for a majority of their
business. By optimizing its portfolio on IBM hardware and software,
including IBM eServer xSeries and IBM DB2 Universal Database running
on Linux, Ardendo is broadening its reach into the broadcast
marketplace by offering more choice and flexibility to customers.
"By working with key partners like Ardendo, IBM is able to deliver
the innovative technology and solutions to help broadcast customers
propel their business into the next generation of digital media,"
said Steve Canepa, vice president, IBM Global Media and Entertainment
Industry. "Through the support of the IBM ISV Advantage for
Industries program and by taking advantage of IBM open standard
technology, Ardendo has the ability to meet the demands of
broadcasters faster, easier and more efficiently."
Built on the success of the ISV Advantage for SMB program, ISV
Advantage for Industries provides a growth path for ISVs that want a
deeper relationship with IBM. ISV Advantage for Industries members
make tangible technology commitments to specific IBM middleware and
hardware platforms that support IBM's on demand strategy. Ardendo
will also work closely with IBM to expand its visibility in target
vertical industries through various co-marketing and sales
activities.
ISV Advantage is administered by PartnerWorld for Developers, the
developer resource for IBM Business Partners. It is a worldwide
program designed to help software developers reach broader markets,
lower their costs of doing business, and take their products to
market faster. For more information, visit
