La Starmap Mobile Alliance prend pied en République tchèque et signe un accord avec Eurotel

La Starmap Mobile Alliance a annoncé l'adhésion immédiate d'Eurotel. L'alliance réunit désormais 11 grands opérateurs indépendants, dont sunrise, qui offrent désormais à plus de 53 millions dabonnés des services voix-données complets dans le domaine de la téléphonie mobile.
La Starmap Mobile Alliance n'a de cesse d'élargir sa couverture, de consolider sa présence dans des zones géographiques stratégiques et doffrir de la valeur ajoutée à ses clients. Eurotel, le plus grand fournisseur de services vocaux et de données sans fil, rejoint l'alliance en tant que membre à part entière, jouissant des mêmes droits que les dix autres opérateurs actuels. Eurotel apportera directement sa coopération aux initiatives lancées par l'alliance relatives au roaming, à lapprovisionnement, à la vente et au marketing. De plus, elle renforcera l'orientation de la marque «Starmap Mobile Alliance» avec ses produits et services-clés.
«L'adhésion d'Eurotel au sein de l'alliance souligne notre volonté de prendre pied sur des territoires-clés et de renforcer notre position sur le marché pour le bénéfice des clients et des fournisseurs», explique Rafael Wariwoda (ONE).
Avec plus de 4,3 millions de clients inscrits à la fin du mois de juin 2004 et un chiffre d'affaires annuel de 924 millions deuros en 2003, Eurotel Praha, spol. s r.o. est le numéro un en matière de téléphonie mobile en République tchèque.
Onze opérateurs composent Starmap Mobile Alliance: Amena (Espagne), Eurotel (République tchèque), O2 (Allemagne, Royaume-Uni et Irlande), One (Autriche), Pannon GSM (Hongrie), SONOFON (Danemark), sunrise (Suisse), Telenor Mobil (Norvège) et Wind (Italie), regroupant plus de 53 millions d'abonnés.

Pannon GSM, owned 100% by Telenor Mobile Norway, had by the end of 2003 approximately 36% share of the Hungarian mobile market, where the penetration exceeds 78%. Pannon GSM for already 10 years offers wide range of telecommunication services to customers from individual consumers to large size companies as well. Services can be voice or data services (for example HSCSD), based on dual-band GSM (900 and 1800), GPRS and recently EDGE technology. By the end of January 2004, the company had GSM roaming agreements with 271 mobile operators in 111 countries.
