Board of Directors of BKW Inc. // Changes in the BKW Board of Directors

13.03.2015 – 17:45

Bern (ots)

The upcoming Annual Shareholders' Meeting will see a number of changes in the Board of Directors of BKW Inc. The two long-serving Board members, Philippe Virdis and Prof. Dr. Eugen Marbach, will stand down at the end of their current terms of office. Virdis is the current representative of BKW shareholder, Groupe E SA, which has nominated Dominique Gachoud as his successor. Kurt Rohrbach, currently a full-time member of the Board, will give up his full-time position. He will, however, be standing for re-election as a Board member.

The two Board members, Philippe Virdis and Eugen Marbach, have tendered their resignations with effect from the upcoming Annual Shareholders' Meeting of BKW Inc. Virdis has been a member since 2003 and Marbach since 2007. The Board of Directors would like to thank Philippe Virdis and Eugen Marbach for their valuable contribution to BKW over the past few years.

As a successor for Philippe Virdis, Groupe E is proposing Dominique Gachoud as its representative. Mr Gachoud holds a degree in electronic engineering from EPFL and has been CEO of Group E SA since July 2012. Given that the Board of Directors of BKW Inc. is to be made smaller, Eugen Marbach will not be replaced.

The members of the Board of Directors will be elected by shareholders at the upcoming Annual Shareholders' Meeting of BKW Inc, which will take place on 8 May 2015 in Bern.
