Kunstmuseum St.Gallen Launches New Website and Refines Visual Identity in Preparation for Its Anniversary Year
In anticipation of its 150-year anniversary in 2027, Kunstmuseum St.Gallen has further developed its visual identity and launched a new website. These initiatives form part of a strategic process through which the museum aims to make its analogue and digital offerings even more accessible, contemporary, and user-oriented in the future.
The new website provides visitors with clearly structured navigation, in-depth information on exhibitions and events, and enhanced tools for planning visits. In collaboration with Eye-Able, a platform dedicated to dIigital accessibility, the museum has also expanded the website’s accessibility features. Through AI, this website can be adapted to the needs of different user groups and is available in seven languages, ensuring the most inclusive and user-friendly experience possible.
Alongside the launch of the new website, the museum has carefully refined its visual identity. The new corporate design was developed in collaboration with the St.Gallen-based graphic designers Bänziger Hug Kasper Florio. The aim was to sharpen the museum’s identity in a contemporary way and establish a consistent visual foundation for future communication—both online and on-site.
The rollout of the updated visual identity will begin in summer 2026 and will be implemented gradually across various communication channels. A deeper exploration of the museum’s current and future role will be presented during its anniversary year, 2027, as part of a comprehensive communications campaign.
With these newly implemented measures, Kunstmuseum St.Gallen is laying the groundwork for future initiatives while also inviting audiences to rediscover the museum in the digital realm.
