August 11, 2010 - The Management Board of
centrotherm photovoltaics AG has appointed Dr. Frank Stubhan (45) as 
the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of centrotherm photovoltaics AG's 
Thin Film Module division with effect as of September 1, 2010. This 
step allows the technology and equipment provider to prepare itself 
for the continued growth of the future-oriented thin film market. 
Along with Dr. Stubhan, the management team of the Thin Film Module 
division will also consist of Christian Frick as Chief Financial 
Officer (CFO). To date, Mr. Frick has been active as Finance Director
at the Thin Film Module division.  For the last three years, Dr. 
Stubhan has held the position of managing director and Chief 
Operations Officer (COO) at the centrotherm SiTec GmbH subsidiary, 
which offers fully integrated production systems for the 
manufacturing of silicon, ingots (silicon blocks) and wafers on a 
one-stop shop basis. He organized the commissioning of three silicon 
factories during this period. Dr. Stubhan had previously spent eight 
years with various high-tech companies as managing director in the 
technology area. Dr. Stubhan, who earned his doctorate from Ulm 
University, also has five years' experience of China where he founded
a further two companies. He has already worked on several thin film 
procedures during his career. "I would like to become involved in the
photovoltaic technology of the future," was how Dr. Stubhan, who was 
born in Ehingen in Swabia, explains his career path switch. "With Dr.
Stubhan we have recruited a professional who is qualified to address 
one of the most exciting topics of the coming years. Thin film 
technology for solar modules offers enormous potential, and will be a
market of the future where we can position ourselves even more 
strongly as pioneering thought leaders and pace setters within the 
solar sector," as Robert M. Hartung, CEO of centrotherm photovoltaics
AG, commented.
