PRESS RELEASE
CompuGROUP strengthens its involvement in the growth markets of eastern
      and south-eastern Europe
Coblenz/Vienna - 19th October 2007: CompuGROUP Holding AG, a leading
European provider of E-health solutions, is expanding its business in
further growth markets: in order to establish an effective unit for
penetration of the E-health markets in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary,
Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia and
Greece, CompuGROUP CEE has been formed, which will be based in Vienna. The
new company will function as a complete E-health supplier, offering
innovative software products to all those involved in healthcare, and will
be run by its two managing directors - Willibald Salomon and Hannes
      Reichl.
The health care systems in eastern and south-eastern Europe are currently
undergoing great change. Both in the most recent new EU member states of
Romania and Bulgaria as well as in potential EU candidate states such as
Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia, structures for nationwide care are
beginning to develop in the healthcare economy. CompuGROUP views the
action of supporting these new healthcare systems from the outset with
efficiency-enhancing E-health solutions as representing a logical step,
through which the best possible standard of medical care can be made
available to a broad section of the population.
As far as product policy in concerned, CompuGROUP CEE has initially
allocated top priority to the comprehensive introduction of electronic
patient medical records within its area of operation. Furthermore, with
respect to the product and service portfolio as well as particularly
concerning the networking strategy, the company will utilise the synergies
in various ways that result from its relationship to the parent company
      CompuGROUP Holding AG.
"At the heart of the CompuGROUP vision lies the networking at an
international level of all those involved in healthcare. With the aid of
high performance IT systems, the process of integrating all sectors within
healthcare is greatly simplified. The broad product portfolio, as well as
the immense pool of expertise that exists within CompuGROUP, enable us to
address the full spectrum within the healthcare system. This simplifies
market entry into eastern European countries , where, in parallel to the
implementation of IT solutions for health professionals, networking
projects are also initiated," explains managing director Hannes Reichl.
"Providing young or newly emerging healthcare systems with appropriate
electronic tools from the outset, in order to be able to build up
structures for a lastingly affordable system of medical care that is
accessible to everyone, represents both a challenge and a mission to us. I
firmly believe that the new company CompuGROUP CEE will spiritedly succeed
in fully tapping the attractive market potential in eastern and south-
eastern Europe, and thus write its own success story," emphasises Frank
Gotthardt, Chairman of CompuGROUP Holding AG.
