Owing to a weak first quarter and the merely sluggish recovery of the markets, the Management Board of ersol Solar Energy AG assumes that the ersol Group will be unable to meet its full-year forecast for 2009. While earlier projections had put revenue for 2009 at over EUR420 million and EBIT at EUR80-90 million, revenue of between EUR330 and EUR380 million and EBIT in the range of EUR30 to EUR60 million are now expected. The forecast was primarily revised to take account of the difficult market situation on the whole, the general weakness in demand coupled with a sharp fall in prices for solar modules and solar cells, and the downturn in the project business as a result of the financial market crisis.
ersol Solar Energy AG will disclose its trading figures for the first three months of 2009 in an interim announcement on 15 May 2009 as planned.
