One Equity Partners increases share in Süd-Chemie AG

The Managing Board of Süd-Chemie AG has been informed yesterday 
evening, that the financial investor One Equity Partners has acquired
a further 9.37% interest in Süd-Chemie AG from the Messerschmitt 
Foundation, via SC-Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt am Main. 
In addition, One Equity Partners has purchased just under 2% of the 
shares in Süd-Chemie AG by way of an over-the-counter transaction. 
Acquisition of the shares is however still subject to the approval of
the EU antitrust authorities. Together with its 39.19% interest in 
Süd-Chemie AG purchased in January 2006, SC-Beteiligungsgesellschaft 
now holds over 50% of the shares in Süd-Chemie AG. The Süd-Chemie 
Managing Board welcomes the confirmation given by One Equity Partners
in today´s press release that it is prepared to continue its 
successful co-operation with the Managing Board and the other 
Süd-Chemie AG shareholders, as well as provide ongoing support for 
the company´s value-oriented growth policy.
