Disclosure announcement transmitted by euro adhoc. The issuer is responsible

30.07.2007
Süd-Chemie AG, Munich will significantly exceed its Group targets
previously forecast for the 2007 financial year which anticipated
revenue of approx. EUR1.05 billion and a rise in profit from
operations (EBIT) at least of 10% compared with 2006. Following a
successful performance during the first six months, consolidated
Group revenue of approx. EUR1.1 billion is expected for the full year
of 2007 and a Group EBIT increase of some 20% compared with 2006.
Based on the preliminary results, consolidated Group revenue has
risen by 13.7% compared with the previous year, reaching EUR533.0
million during the first six months of 2007. Consolidated Group
profit from operations (EBIT) has recorded a 63.8% increase over the
first six months of 2006 to reach EUR52.9 million. The rise in
earnings during the first half of 2007, as well as the upgraded
forecasts for the full year, are due largely to the fact that
business performance has exceeded expectations in the Catalysts
Division.
Contrary to previous announcements, the Süd-Chemie Group interim
report for the first six months of 2007 is due to be published as
early as Tuesday, 14 August 2007.
