Dr Myriam Meyer Stutz becomes new member of the Executive Board and CEO of RUAG Aerospace

The Board of Directors of the RUAG technology group
has appointed Dr Myriam Meyer Stutz as CEO of RUAG Aerospace and
elected her to the Executive Board. She will take up her new position
and assume responsibility for the operational management of the
company on 1 August 2005.
43-year-old Myriam Meyer comes from Turtmann (Canton of Valais).
She is married and, after completing school in Sion, graduated in
mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich in 1987. She then went on to do
a PhD at ETH Zurich's Institute of Mechanical Systems.
After a variety of vocational training programmes in Switzerland
and abroad, she worked for several years with SR Technics at Zurich
Airport, starting as the assistant to the head of aircraft
maintenance. She subsequently became head of Project Engineering,
where she was responsible for complex technical modifications and
upgrades to aircraft belonging to various airlines. Her next position
was as Vice President of "Operations Control and Resource Planning"
at Swissair Flight Operations. Latterly Dr Meyer was Vice President
and a member of the executive management of Roche Consumer Health
Ltd, where she had global responsibility for Human Resources and HR
strategy.
Myriam Meyer's appointment as CEO means that the interregnum at
RUAG Aerospace will end on 31 July 2005. The Board of Directors would
like to thank Peter Scherrer, Business Area Manager, Systems and
Astronautics, and interim head of RUAG Aerospace, for leading the
company with foresight since the unexpected death of Peter Schneuwly.
