FAST Announces OEM Agreement With ClearStory Systems
Olso, Norway, November 30 (ots/PRNewswire) -
- FAST InStream to be Integrated Into ClearStory's Enterprise Content Management Solutions
Fast Search & Transfer(TM) (FAST(TM)), the leading developer of enterprise search and real-time alerting technologies, today announced an OEM partnership with ClearStory Systems (OTCBB: CSYS), an established provider of flexible, on-demand enterprise content management (ECM) solutions. As part of this agreement, FAST InStream(TM), an OEM enterprise search solution developed specifically for independent software vendors (ISVs), will be integrated with ClearStory's Radiant Content Suite.
The integration of FAST InStream with ClearStory's Radiant Content Suite will enable enterprise-scale search capabilities - further enhancing the value of ClearStory's powerful platform for integrating rich media and business documents into a multitude of business-critical environments. Based upon FAST's powerful Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP(TM)), FAST InStream enables ISVs like ClearStory to empower their users, extend and strengthen their applications' functionality, and accelerate their competitive advantage.
Organisations have struggled with how best to manage the rapid growth of content generated by an organisation. Content management systems were created specifically to manage this content and properly organize and structure the content so it can be accessed and acted upon. However, given the exponential growth of content requiring management, the ability to quickly find a specific piece of information is often overlooked and as a result, operational and process efficiencies suffer. By integrating FAST InStream with ClearStory's suite of solutions, companies can enjoy full text indexing and search capability across repositories.
Radiant MailManager, ClearStory's e-mail active archiving solution, is scheduled for release in December 2004. FAST InStream is an integral component of the product, providing powerful search capability with training-based analytics to ensure accurate policy management and review of enterprise e-mail, based on both message and attachment content.
"Companies today are finding enormous value in developing enterprise-wide business and rich media content management solutions," said Henry F. Nelson, president and CEO, ClearStory Systems. "In order to truly leverage that content, our customers demand robust search functionality within their ECM infrastructure. ClearStory is pleased to partner with FAST for enterprise search to ensure our customers can find and act upon the information within our solutions quickly and easily. "
"The ability to easily locate a piece of data hidden within an organisation's existing systems is critical to effective operations and driving positive business results," commented Ali Riaz, FAST's chief operating officer. "This partnership underlines FAST's commitment to working with leading ISVs from across multiple market segments to provide best-of-breed search technology to end-users around the world. We look forward to working with ClearStory and their customers to help unleash the power of our respective solutions and maximise their existing technology investments."
FAST has transformed enterprise search from a powerful, yet narrowly perceived function, into an enterprise-wide strategic and tactical capability of pivotal importance. FAST ESP and FAST's portfolio of solutions and SDAs supply a complete information retrieval solution ideal for a growing number of key vertical markets and applications including e-Commerce and Internet Portals, Financial Services; Government; Life Sciences; Media and Publishing; and Telecom. For FAST, the search never stops.
