Prionics and Bio-X Diagnostics form strategic partnership

Switzerland (ots)

Prionics, a world leader in farm animal diagnostics, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Belgian company Bio-X Diagnostics to make their innovative diagnostic solutions available to global markets. The collaboration will include distribution, product development and production. Through this partnership, Prionics and Bio-X Diagnostics customers will profit from an expanded portfolio of quality products.

Prionics and Bio-X Diagnostics have agreed to intensify their cooperation in global distribution and join efforts to develop and produce their products. Bio-X Diagnostics, based in Rochefort, Belgium, has distributed Prionics products in Belgium since 2011 and distributes its own products in selected European countries. The company has been seeking to increase its global reach and found the ideal partner in Prionics. For now the two companies will be intensively focusing on the French market. "With the founding of Prionics France, Prionics and Bio-X Diagnostics can now offer their complementary product portfolio of diagnostic tests and biochemicals to the French customer," says Dr. Markus Moser, CEO of Prionics. "We are excited at the prospect of working together in the French market."

Joint product development and marketing

Prionics and Bio-X Diagnostics have agreed to also join efforts to develop new diagnostic solutions. "We see great potential in our strategic partnership with Prionics," says Dr. Philippe Coppe, Partner and Research & Development Manager of Bio-X Diagnostics. "Our joint product development will strengthen our ability to bring new products to our customers." "Bio-X serves veterinarians with tools for the differential diagnosis of complex pathologies so their products nicely complement our own product range", says Ernst Zollinger, Chief Marketing Officer at Prionics.
