conVISUAL, the first Visual Messaging Service Provider, paves the way for true interoperability between mobile messaging technologies SMS, Smart Messaging, Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) with its "Multimedia Message Broker" platform.
conVISUAL has the last word in the intensively discussed "format dilemma". Thanks to its "Multimedia Message Broker" (MMB) platform, it is the first provider to enable the direct conversion of multimedia messages between the most diverse mobile phone standards. Interoperability is the magic formula for the harmonious coexistence of text SMS, Smart Messaging, EMS and MMS.
Up to now, only those owning mobile phones with Nokia's proprietary Smart Messaging protocol or the new EMS industry standard could avail of the picture messages and ringtones on offer. As a result, friends and colleagues using the other mobile phone standard, respectively, missed out completely: The lack of interoperability between EMS and Smart Messaging devices meant that the exchange of images and melodies was impossible. By coming up with intelligent conversion using MMB, conVISUAL not only solves this dilemma, but also gives all other mobile phone users access to the formerly exclusive multimedia communication community - regardless of whether they have simple text SMS mobile phones or one of the latest MMS generation of devices. This means that all mobile phone users now have the freedom to actively enjoy multimedia applications based on existing and future standards.
By employing intelligent algorithms to automatically identify the user's device type, conVISUAL determines the display options that each particular device can support. Accordingly, the same content is delivered on a text SMS, Smart Messaging, EMS and, in future, MMS mobile phone with the optimum format for each user. Consequently, the issue of the mobile phone's technical specifications is no longer important.
