With the majority sale of de Sede to the private
equity firm Capvis last November, a new path was forged. The
succession can now be announced: from 1st July 2008, Alice Stümcke
will be taking up the helm at de Sede, and Hans-Peter Fässler will be
concentrating on his activities on the board of directors. Hans-Peter
Fässler will also continue to hold equity in the company.
With this development, de Sede is again following its proven model
for success, choosing a person with a strong marketing background and
business management experience. Alice Stümcke spent a long time in
Brand Management and as an international business consultant, then
became CEO at a Swiss company in the consumer goods sector, went on
to sit on a number of executive boards, and now owns a prestigious
advertising agency based in Basel. Hers is an exciting business
remit, with an attractive brand portfolio. The de Sede brand,
positioned right in the middle of the premium business sector, is set
to maintain its high standards with individual and innovative
collections. Available markets are being even more strongly profiled,
and new markets and market segments are being pursued and tested. The
objective is to achieve growth across the whole group, both
nationally and internationally and by so doing allow complementary
skills to be used, and to seek out and capitalise on existing
potential, experience and synergies.
We will be happy to send Alice Stümcke's CV and pictures on
request.
