Bechtle AG raises its earnings forecast after a strong third quarter

Bechtle AG continued its successful business development in the third quarter 2004. According to preliminary calculations, the systems house posted a 29.0 percent increase in revenues to 259.1 million euros (previous year: 200.8 million euros) during the period from July to September. In the first nine months of 2004 Bechtle achieved growth in revenues of 33.6 percent to 751.2 million euros (previous year: 562.2 million euros). Excluding acquisitions, growth during the nine-month period was 6.4 percent.
The Neckarsulm-based group also recorded further growth in earnings. Based on preliminary figures, Bechtle achieved an EBT of 10.3 million euros during the third quarter - a year-on-year gain of 15.7 percent (8.9 million euros). Compared with same nine-month period in previous year, earnings before taxes (EBT) rose by 45.6 percent from 16.9 million euros to 24.6 million euros. Organic growth during the nine-month period was 11.8 percent.
On the basis of previous business performance and expectations for the fourth quarter, the Executive Board has raised its earnings forecast for the year as a whole. The revised forecast calls for EBT to increase by at least 25 percent to between 34 and 35 million euros (fiscal 2003: 27.2 million euros) on net revenues in excess of 1 billion euros. Previously, 33 million euros had been forecast.
Bechtle will publish its final figures and the nine-months report on 15 November 2004.
