Schaffner Group records rising order volume for Test Systems

Luterbach (ots)

Components also enjoys marked improvement in
orders The Schaffner Group (SXW Swiss Exchange: SAHN) received a
number of orders early in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year for
test systems to measure EMC emissions and interference resistance.
The largest single order - worth a total of USD 1.3 million (CHF 1.6
million) - came from the US subsidiary of a global product testing
group. The new orders will all be delivered during the first half of
2006. Fritz Gantert, President and CEO of the Schaffner Group,
explained: 'The orders, particularly the one from the fiercely
competitive North American instruments market, illustrate the strong
position of Schaffner technology in the global EMC market.'
Both of the Schaffner Group's businesses recorded a marked upturn
in demand in the opening weeks of the fourth quarter. Orders for both
Test Systems and Components even exceeded the long-term monthly
average in August 2005.
