Disclosure announcement transmitted by euro adhoc.
The issuer is responsible for the content of this announcement.
After Hönle (ISIN: DE 0005157101), a leading systems provider of
industrial UV technology, successfully closed financial year
2002/2003, the Company continued its course of success during the
first three months of the new financial year with a sales increase of
41 % in comparison to the first quarter of the previous year. Sales
revenues rose from TEUR 3,434 to
TEUR 4,854.
The start to the new financial year which was significantly better
than in the previous year is reflected in the income figures:
earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose at Group level from
TEUR -72 in the previous year to TEUR 423, earnings before taxes
(EBT) climbed from TEUR 3 to TEUR 540, and net income for the period
rose from TEUR 81 to TEUR 315. Relative to 5.24 million shares,
earnings per share improved from EUR 0.02 in the previous year’s
period to EUR 0.06 in the first quarter of the current year.
With an equity ratio of 83 percent, the Hönle Group continues to be
very solidly financed. Taken together, liquid funds and financial
investments amount to TEUR 16,152 as at 31 December 2003. This
corresponds to a cash proportion of EUR 3.08 per share.
Forecast:
The Company assumes that the positive business development will
continue in the second quarter. Order intake in the first quarter of
the financial year developed successfully, in particular in the
printing applications segment so that an increase in sales in
comparison to the previous year is expected for the second quarter as
well.
