AXA Finance Portal with pirobase wins the CMS Internet Award / Content Management Software from Pironet NDH

Cologne, Germany (ots)

Together with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young,
Siemens Business Services and Avinci, the Düsseldorf-based specialist
publishing house NewMediaSales.com presented the first International
CMS Award yesterday. Based on the dynamic Content Management System
(CMS) pirobase from the software company Pironet NDH , the AXA
Finance portal won first prize for the most successful CMS project in
the Internet sector.
Altogether some 30 CMS project descriptions were submitted by the
various candidates to NewMediaSales. In addition to the business
utility and user-friendliness of the platform, the Jury, comprising
CMS integrators, CMS users, independent CMS experts and press
representatives assessed primarily the future investment security and
the value-added of the entire project for the operator.
With the relaunch of the web-site www.axa.de, which was conducted
in cooperation with the Internet consultancy and pirobase integration
partner Framfab Deutschland AG, the AXA finance portal went online in
early 2001 and boasts an exciting array of attractive functions and
features. Performance, fail-safety, a high degree of interactivity
and the integration of external applications were all afforded
primary consideration in its realization.
The integrated modules, a dedicated area for online contract
management (My AXA), a convenient tariff calculator and useful
financial news and tips, together with the AXA products form a
comprehensive range of information and services both for existing and
prospective customers. AXA decided to operate its portal application
comprising more than 2600 pages on a powerful SUN E4500 hardware
platform with the operating system Solaris.
Expressing his delight at having won the CMS award, Albert Dahmen,
the responsible IT Unit Manager at AXA commented: "We see ourselves
reaffirmed as the technological pioneer in our sector. Following our
multi-channel strategy we are continuing to invest in innovative
technologies in the interests of customers. Over many years, pirobase
has proved itself to be a successful, comprehensive platform for
Content Management within our Group."
