In the beginning of December the French shoedesigner Christian Louboutin will open his first flagship store in the German speaking part of Switzerland, in Zurich. This is the second boutique in Switzerland, located at Wühre, close tot he river Limmat and nearby Storchengasse. Immediate shop neighbour is the Austrian shoe retailer Ludwig Reiter, who has been at this location for several years. Christian Louboutin and Boutique Manuele Jaquet agreed to maintain silence about the amount of key money.
Very close by, the English bag and accessories specialist Mulberry will take over the boutique of Trois Pommes in January 2012. The two floors will have a selling surface of 150 square meters. Three years ago, the German luxury brand Escada almost moved into this boutique but withdrew from the contract again. Finally the Italian jeweller Pomellato will add to the Storchengasse at Weinplatz just opposite Hotel Storchen. The shop is managed by Zett Meyer and has a selling surface of 80 square meters.
On Bahnhofstrasse the lingerie label Fogal has opened the newly renovated flagship store with 90 square meters on ground floor, which is double the selling surface as before. Next door and currently still under construction, the jeweller Piaget will open its new 160 square meter shop before Christmas. Navyboot, who gave place to Fogal, could enlarge their shop next to Department Store Jelmoli to 120 square meters and exchanged their second shop at Limmatquai with the previous tenant Kuoni. Again here, silence was agreed about the amount of key money.
Additional news about the best locations worldwide will be published end of January 2012 in the Retail Market Study 2012 by Location Group.
