Stuttgart, February 12, 2009 - Heiler Software AG, one of the leading
providers of electronic product information solutions and catalogue 
management systems increased consolidated sales revenues in the first
quarter of fiscal year 2009/10 (10/01/2009 - 12/31/2009) from 2.53 
million Euro to 2.84 million Euro (+12%) when compared to the 
preceding fourth quarter 2008/09. Compared to the remarkably strong 
first quarter of the prior year sales revenues decreased from 3.25 
million Euro by 13%. This decrease is mainly related to the license 
business which with 0.42 million Euro stayed significantly behind the
record value of the prior year of 1.05 million Euro (-60%). 
Hosting/ASP-revenues decreased from 0.30 million Euro to 0.23 million
Euro (-23%). In contrast, consulting revenues increased from 1.31 
million Euro to 1.49 million Euro (+14%) and maintenance revenues 
increased from 0.54 million Euro to 0.63 million Euro (+17%).

Cost of goods sold for the first quarter 2009/10 decreased from 1.40 
million Euro to 1.19 million Euro (-15%) when compared to the 
corresponding period of the prior year. Operating expenses decreased 
from 1.80 million Euro to 1.74 million Euro (-3%). Net result of this
is a decrease of earnings before interest and taxes from 0.07 million
Euro to -0.07 million Euro when compared to the prior year. Interest 
income, due to the strongly decreasing short-term market interest 
level, experienced with 0.04 million Euro a significant lower 
contribution to operating income when compared to the corresponding 
period of the prior year. Accordingly, for the first quarter 2009/10 
earnings before taxes decreased from 0.17 million Euro to -0.03 
million Euro and net income decreased from 0.18 million Euro to -0.05
million Euro.

Liquid funds increased from 14.05 million Euro to 14.30 million Euro 
when compared to the prior year. Shareholders´ equity decreased from 
21.29 million Euro to 20.27 million Euro. The equity ratio remains 
unchanged to the prior year at 90%.
