Isolux Corsan undertook the complete engineering, procurement and construction of 180 km of 400 KV double circuit quad transmission line on the Narendra - Kudgi section in the state of Karnataka, India.

The fully completed project is now set to unify the Southern and Western Power Distribution Grids of India. This will enhance the process of distribution of electricity in Southern region, which is power deficit; as and when the Kudgi 1500 MW Mega Power Plant of National Thermal Power Corporation is commissioned. The project has been completed within the stipulated timeframe despite serious operational challenges like inhospitable terrain, and inclement weather. The major highlight of the Narendra Kudgi Transmission Line has been construction of tower span of 728 meters across river Krishna in Karnataka. The construction of this continuous very large span without pile foundation was itself a great engineering challenge and resulted in substantial cost reduction of project. It demonstrates Isolux Corsan's high caliber engineering expertise and commitment to the timely execution of projects at optimal cost and meeting its client's expectations.

These two transmission lines already completed in Maharashtra and Karnataka are part of a global project of the company in India that includes the execution of 3,000 kilometers of transmission lines and 33 substations in the states of Haryana , Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
