Four of the five clay samples confirmed the presence of ionic clay characteristics and were susceptible to the UOT's ionic exchange extraction method. In summary UOT concluded that the major part of the REE content can be easily and rapidly recovered by simple leaching with either ammonium sulphate or sodium chloride solutions. Furthermore, the study established that a two stage leaching process appeared to improve the overall REE extraction levels by between 10 - 20%. UOT also concluded that extraction was feasible with simulated sea water but at a lower extraction level, nevertheless providing an alternative environmentally friendly solution. Finally the UOT study yielded results indicating zero leaching extraction of uranium and thorium from the samples tested. The report from UOT entitled "Objectives and General Methodology" will be available on the website as will the latest analysis from Asian Metal. TRE has now commissioned UOT to design an on-site laboratory and pilot plant that will replicate the leaching and extraction process currently undertaken at the UOT's laboratory in Toronto. TRE intend to test the UOT process under industrial conditions on site in Madagascar. It is proposed that UOT will operate the on-site laboratory and oversee the process in Madagascar. As required by the Dusseldorf Stock Exchange, TRE has now submitted a prospectus to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority - BaFin. The Prospectus includes a new Competent Persons Report that has been prepared by SRK (and a copy of which is available on the website). The Management Board has decided to take whatever steps are necessary to move the Company to the regulated market in Germany. It is anticipated that this process will be completed by the third quarter of 2013. In accordance with Malagasy law, TRE has applied to renew its exploration licence. The application was submitted on time and the Ministry of Mines has confirmed receipt. TRE expects to receive the renewed licence is the next few weeks. Juergen Schillinger, CEO of TRE said "As the new Competent Person's Report shows TRE has already obtained an inferred Mineral Resource Statement (under the JORC code) which has been public in 2012. Since then an additional 10,555 samples have been assayed holding the potential that this resource will be increased both in size and classification. The results from the UOT study are particularly exciting and suggest a simple ion exchange extraction method can be used to recover a rare earth solution in the same way as is undertaken for the ionic clay deposits in Southern China. Meanwhile TRE has continued to deal with regulatory issues both in Germany and Madagascar."
