VIVACON AG sells 5,236 apartments for over EUR 200 mn

Cologne, December 20th 2005. VIVACON AG (ISIN 0006048911) has today
agreed to sell a substantial residential portfolio to an
international institutional investor, representing the single largest
transaction in its corporate history. The transaction will be
consummated through a transfer of shares in the subsidiary Vivacon
Rheinruhr Portfolio I GmbH & Co. KG.

The Portfolio comprises a total of 5,236 residential units in the
Rhein-Ruhr area with a living area of approx. 321,000 sqm. The sale
is under freehold terms. The total transaction volume amounts to over
EUR 200 mn.
