Successful Start into the Racing Season of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland during iXS Round in Valencia

From April 15th to 17th 2019, the first of six race events of the R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland took place at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. The junior programme of Yamaha Switzerland successfully launched its first season premiere with the iXS Round. Road Racing legend Horst Saiger accompanied the riders into their first practice laps. The starting grid for the two races on Tuesday and Wednesday was defined by a qualifying session on Monday.
The driver field was supplemented by three wildcards: Young hopeful Swiss rider Noah Dettwiler (13), Supermotard driver "Bad Boy" Dani Müller and Horst Saiger, who also plays the role of coach and expert during the entire R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland series.
The young talents showed all their skills during the two fiercely contested races. With changes of position on a round per round base and displaying some tough but fair duels, Team Morillas Racing School with Frenchman Tom Berçot (14) was victorious twice, thus leading the overall standings with 50 points. Team RR Randy Racing with German-Brazilian Alan Kroh (15) and Team Badan Motos represented by Swiss rider Stéphane Frossard (24).
Yamaha Motor Switzerland looks back on a successful start into the season with respect & fair play. Also thanks to the sponsors and the hospitality team of eila, the iXS Round in Valencia is considered a successful launch of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland.
The teams and drivers are currently preparing for the next racing round which will take place 24th to 26th May 2019 in Dijon, France, presented by Autofit.
