New Juice API gives companies direct access to charging and device data
Fully integrated fleet management, maximum data sovereignty and state-of-the-art cyber security
Juice Technology AG, manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is introducing a new API for the JUICE EV FLEET SOLUTION, an interface developed specifically for electric vehicle fleets. It enables companies to seamlessly embed their charging infrastructure into existing ERP, financial or management systems. The automated processing of charging data creates the basis for efficient and audit-proof billing processes.
Data flow from the charging infrastructure to the company software
Companies that have their own management systems generally prefer to handle the charging management of their electric vehicle fleets internally rather than outsourcing it to external service providers. API interfaces enable direct machine access to charging stations and charging data. The new Juice API now gives companies the opportunity to integrate the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air mobile wallboxes directly into their systems and manage them centrally. This streamlines administrative processes, minimises sources of error and increases operational reliability.
A milestone for professional fleet management
For Christoph Erni, CEO and founder of Juice Technology, the new API is a decisive step forward: “Our development team implemented this technologically sophisticated solution with the utmost precision in an impressively short time. Until now, user administration, device management and charging data evaluation were carried out exclusively via the j+ pilot app, which is available for the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air on mobile devices or in a browser. With the Juice API, it is now also possible to access devices and charging histories via a client application that can be seamlessly integrated into the enterprise software of our fleet customers.”
Easy integration thanks to OpenAPI
The API provides all the information relevant to centralised charging station management. This includes device data and the complete charging history with authorisations, date, amount of energy charged and the accrued costs from the stored tariff model.
Since the API is based entirely on OpenAPI standards, implementation in target systems is greatly simplified. Companies only need to develop a client application that connects to the interface, retrieves data and processes it in their own system.
Bank-level cybersecurity
The Juice API was designed from the ground up for maximum data security and strict compliance requirements based on zero-trust principles. Stefan Hölzl, project manager of the API development team, explains: “Our solution follows the OWASP Top 10, a widely recognised reference for the most critical security risks in web applications. It provides robust defence mechanisms against unauthorised access and tampering, is built on a consistently secure architectural design and ensures the integrity of all processed data. As part of our security roadmap, we continuously review and optimise these configurations.”
Instead of passwords, short-lived digital keys are used, which are automatically generated for each request and immediately cryptographically verified. User-specific data isolation ensures that access is strictly limited to the user’s own devices and loading data.
Data processing is also subject to the highest security standards: the API only accepts parameterised database queries, thus reliably preventing typical manipulation attempts that can occur with classic web applications. Since the system works without sessions and cookies, risks such as hijacked user sessions or attacks via fake requests are also eliminated.
The technical basis of the API is entirely cloud-based. It runs on a modern, automatically scalable infrastructure that allows updates during operation and processes application services separately from one another. This ensures high stability and protects sensitive loading data according to the same security principles used in the financial and healthcare sectors.

With the new API, Juice is adding a strategically important component to its JUICE EV FLEET SOLUTION. The modern and highly secure interface is aimed at companies and operators of large fleets who want to seamlessly integrate their charging infrastructure into existing ERP or financial systems and automatically process charging data for billing purposes – without relinquishing control over their data. The API meets high standards of compliance, data security and efficiency and lays the foundation for professionally scalable station and fleet management.

The JUICE BOOSTER 3 air offers a solution for every charging situation: whether at home using a standard wall socket, an existing wallbox, or on the go at public charging stations, the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air makes charging simple and transparent. - One solution for all scenarios: The JUICE BOOSTER 3 air covers all charging situations, whether socket or charging station with or without cable.
- No installation required: Employees can start downloading from day one. Operation is simple via app, and local load management is also included.
- Precise measurement: The JUICE BOOSTER 3 air not only serves as a charger, but primarily as a precise electricity meter that accurately measures the charged kWh (in MID quality).
- Clear reporting and billing: The backend provides a clear overview of the charging data for the entire fleet. Charging processes are reliably recorded and included in the monthly billing. There is a clear monthly charging cost statement for all drivers, as well as a separate charging cost overview for each employee.
- Precise allocation of charges: with the JUICE BOOSTER 3 air, charging cards can be issued to employees. This makes it possible to easily and reliably differentiate between private and business charges.
- The device remains the property of the company: no installation or dismantling is required. This means that the company incurs no costs when employees leave.
- Affordable home charging: Charging at home is significantly more cost-efficient and time-saving than charging at public charging stations. Charging takes place overnight using inexpensive household electricity. No extra trip to the charging station is required, thus eliminating waiting times and the associated additional costs for the company. Employees benefit from a fully charged battery every day without any extra effort.
- Protecting vehicle batteries: A high proportion of AC charging extends the battery's lifespan. This increases the vehicle's residual value.
- Device shipping by Juice: For minimal effort, Juice handles the shipping of devices to employees on behalf of the company.
