Former NZZ editor-in-chief Markus Spillmann to be new consultancy partner

KLAUS-METZLER-ECKMANN, the consultancy co-founded by Hans Klaus, Ruth Metzler-Arnold and Daniel Eckmann in 2011, will be joined by a fourth partner on 1 October, Markus Spillmann, former head of journalism and editor-in-chief of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The company will be known in future as KLAUS-METZLER-ECKMANN-SPILLMANN.
KLAUS-METZLER-ECKMANN advise, assist and support individual executives, boards, companies and organizations on strategic and conceptual issues and in challenging situations. Their prime areas of activity - strategy, management and communications - will be expanded to offer consultancy services on journalistic and media issues with Markus Spillmann's arrival.
KLAUS-METZLER-ECKMANN's partners offer proven expertise in operational and strategic company management, in political and corporate communications, in crisis communications and in Swiss domestic and international relations. Hans Klaus has specialized in corporate and crisis communications mandates; Ruth Metzler is president of the supervisory board of Switzerland Global Enterprise, chairs the board of Aquila & Co. AG and sits on several additional boards; and Daniel Eckmann is active in strategic consultancy. He is also a lecturer at Bern University.
KLAUS-METZLER-ECKMANN's first-ever expansion is a well-considered move. "With his vast experience in strategic, conceptual and operational management of complex leadership issues and problems, and given his extensive familiarity with the media world, Markus Spillmann will ideally complement our present KME trio" says leading partner Hans Klaus. "And on a personal level, too, Markus will fit excellently into our current team and our joint activities."
Markus Spillmann will commence his business operations with his Zurich-based company SPILLMANN Publizistik, Strategie, Management GmbH on 1 October.
