Amersfoort, 18 January 2017- Mars One is pleased to welcome Adrian Hayes to its
advisory board. Hayes is a record-breaking adventurer and former British Army
Gurkha officer, who has trekked from the coast to both Poles, summited K2 and
crossed the length of Greenland amongst a lifetime of adventures.

"A one-way expedition to Mars is merely a modern-day extension of humankind's
intrinsic pioneering need to explore and stretch our boundaries to the farthest
reaches of our world and beyond. It has its similarities with the longest
expeditions on this planet also, and, aside promoting the project wherever I
can, I look forward to sharing some insights on the mental challenges and team
dynamics that the candidates will encounter on their ground breaking mission,"
says Hayes.

Hayes is also an internationally acclaimed keynote speaker and professional
business coach, delivering speeches, seminars, and programs worldwide, and an
ambassador on economic, social & environmental sustainability, speaking, writing
and campaigning on many related global issues.

Bas Lansdorp, CEO and co-founder of Mars One says, "We're proud to welcome such
an experienced modern day explorer of some of the most extreme and isolated
environments on Earth to our advisory board. Participating in many long and
arduous expeditions himself, Adrian Hayes understands the mental challenges our
future astronauts will be facing and the importance of real teamwork to succeed
in their journeys to and life on Mars."
