Jet Aviation and Airbus have signed a general conditions agreement
about its status as an Approved Airbus Completions Center on the
first day of this year's EBACE convention in Geneva, Switzerland.
Through this agreement, the Basel-based completions center will
support the Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) family of aircraft in
VVIP cabin interior completions.
Jet Aviation and Airbus, a subsidiary of Europe's leading
aerospace and defense company EADS, renewed the general conditions
agreement for another five years. The agreement covers completions
services including interior design, engineering, manufacturing,
installation and certification. Over the past years, notable Airbus
completions at Jet Aviation Basel have included more than ten
projects on A319, A320, A330-200, A340-300 and A340-600 aircraft.
Peter G. Edwards, president of the Jet Aviation Group, said: "We
are honored that Airbus has renewed our agreement for completions. In
cooperation with Airbus, we have brought to realization over the past
years a number of highly customized completions projects and look
forward to continuing to do so."
Arnaud Martin, vice president Corporate Jet & VIP programmes of
Airbus, said: "We are very pleased to extend the partnership with Jet
Aviation and we are confident that it will continue to service our
customer needs with its excellent standards."
Dr. Welf-Werner Degel, vice president and Eurofighter campaign
director Switzerland, added: "EADS has substantially supported this
cooperation between Jet Aviation and Airbus and is committed to
further increase its industrial cooperation with Switzerland through
this expanded relationship. As a major defense program, the
Eurofighter is currently offered to the Swiss Air Force for a partial
replacement of the Tiger aircraft (TTE). This is an excellent basis
to create additional opportunities for further industrial
cooperation."
