EU-Africa Summit: Nutrition must be put at Heart of Africa's Food Security Plans

Geneva (ots)

Three days before the EU-Africa Summit, Jay Naidoo,
Chairman of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and 
former Chairperson of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA),
will hold a virtual press conference on how to achieve food security 
targets of the Millennium Development Goals.
In Africa one in four people suffer from malnutrition, twenty-five
percent of children are undernourished and forty percent are stunted.
Simple, targeted and cost-effective solutions exist to end 
malnutrition.

    GAIN's Effectiveness in Reducing Malnutrition Confirmed in its New Annual Report

    Geneva (ots) - GAIN - the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition released today its 2008-2009 Annual Report.
