The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- other 19.12.2013 Oesterreichische Volksbanken-AG( VBAG) as central organisation of Volksbanken-Verbund announces that it was informed by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) on the result of the draft report of the Joint Risk Assessment and Decision-Process (JRAD) as per 31 Dec. 2012. The FMA notes in this draft decision that Volksbanken-Verbund will have to ensure fulfillment of a total capital ratio of 13.6%. The exact date as per which Volksbanken-Verbund will have to comply with the ratio will be set by the FMA at a later stage. In its last reporting to the Austrian National Bank on 31 Oct. 2013 Volksbanken-Verbund had a total capital ratio according to Basel II of 15%. This ratio will decline in future due to the changeover from Basel II to Basel III, as well as the loss of VBAG on a single entity level for the business year 2013, which will likely exceed euro 200 million. Additional capital measures are being evaluated in order to meet a possible capital requirement.
