Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S., the Turkish subsidiary of Tunc Holding AG, has bid for operations on the GSM network of Saudia Telecom Company (STC, www.stc.com.sa) in Kuwait, on request of Huawei Technologies (Street No.18, No. 14, Jabra No.10, Kuwait, www.huawei.com). Huawei has been assigned to implement new GSM networks in Kuwait in the scope of the so called STC 3rd licence project. The whole project has an estimated volume of US $ 25 M. In consequence of the tender Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. expects to get 20% of the project which would have an approximate value of US $ 4,8 M.
After the tendering on 24th of February 2008 meetings took place between Adnan Babaoglu (Technical Planning and Projects Coordinator of Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S.) and Liu Wandong (Middle East & North Africa Region Procurement & Certification Director of Huawei) as well as Make Ma (Middle East Region Kuwait Representative Office Procurement of Huawei) on the 7th and 12th of March. The next steps of the STC project were discussed. In particular delivery time, number of required field service personnel and the price for Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S.´s services were dealt with.

The Tunc Holding subsidiaries are active in twelve countries in Asia Minor, Western and Central Asia as well as in Eastern Europe. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. as operational nerve centre of the group is located in Ankara, Turkey. The Turkish subsidiary operates as highly qualified provider in the GSM sector since 1992. The services include a broad range from site survey and infrastructure to the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems. Since 1996 the activities have been continuously expanded to include the area of electricity distribution systems with associated services, renewable energy and internet technology.
