Praxiscomputer GmbH & Co KG and die DATA  VITAL GmbH & Co KG will 
merge to form CompuGROUP Arztsysteme Deutschland effective  1 July 
2009. With a combined total of over 10,500 users, the two  
subsidiaries  of CompuGROUP Holding AG are among the  leading 
producers  of  doctor  information systems in Germany.
CompuMED M1 is used by practicing physicians  in  all  fields  of  
medicine  and especially by outpatient clinics and  medical  
treatment  centres  to  visualize process-based working procedures 
and cross-sector communication. With its  DAVID X  software,  DATA  
VITAL  is  the  leading  producer  of   Linux-based   doctor 
information systems  in  Germany.  Offering  outstanding  system  
stability  and processing speed, DAVID X meets all of the 
requirements of outpatient  treatment facilities.
For the past two years, the two firms have been managed by a  single 
management team, which will continue to ensure product  continuity  
following  the  merger. "With  the  products  developed  by  CompuMED
M1  and  DATA  VITAL,  CompuGROUP Arztsysteme Deutschland GmbH will 
play a very strong role in the  German  market for doctor information
systems in the years to come. I am very pleased that  our two-year  
corporate  consolidation  programme  has  now  come  to  a  
successful conclusion. Our users will benefit in future from the 
combined expertise of  the employees of both firms and can continue 
to rely on the high product quality  of their doctor information
