Equens Starts SEPAklaar.nl Campaign

Netherlands (ots/PRNewswire)

Conversion Services Make SEPA Migration Easy for Businesses and Organisations

Today payment processor Equens is launching the 'SEPAklaar.nl' [translated, 'SEPA-ready.nl'] campaign. This campaign is aimed at medium-sized businesses and organisations that may find themselves under time pressure in migrating their payment traffic to SEPA before 1 February 2014. 'SEPAklaar.nl' offers companies conversion services that make the migration quick and easy. Equens' conversion services use existing formats and reports, which saves businesses and organisations a lot of time, allowing them to focus fully on mandate management and implementing the IBAN account number in their administration and systems. The 'SEPAklaar.nl' campaign will be discussed in various specialist journals and online media. Additionally, there will be items on the radio and in social media.

As from 1 February 2014, payment products in Europe must be harmonised, creating a single euro payments area. In order to be compliant, every company or organisation that makes or receives payments must implement changes in its processes and systems. However, some companies have not yet started the necessary migration, even though the changes required are generally very extensive.

Through more than 40 years of experience in payments, Equens has acquired extensive expertise, not only in the Netherlands, but also in a large number of other European countries. For many years, the services of Equens have helped to reduce costs and complexity through the use of standards. Equens' service Zakelijk Betalen en Ontvangen [Business Payments & Receipt] is based on these standards, and thus provides a reliable and solid solution for businesses and organisations.

Zakelijk Betalen en Ontvangen [Business Payments & Receipt] currently consists of three separate services that businesses and organisations can purchase either individually or as a package. With Formaat Conversie [Format Conversion], the current format in the Netherlands for transfers and direct debits (ClieOp) is converted to the new SEPA format (PAIN). Transactie Aanlevering [Transaction Delivery] enables businesses to send transactions to one or more banks via Equens. The third service offered by Equens is Rekening- en Verwerkingsinformatie [Account & Processing Information]. This service complies with SEPA standards and is on a par with the trusted VerwInfo report. The advantage of this is that businesses can continue using the same VerwInfo report they have become accustomed to for their internal processing and payments. This limits costs and simplifies migration. Now that the market-wide SEPA migration is nearing, demand for this service seems to be increasing.

Businesses can subscribe to one or more of the services. As from today, more information for businesses and organisations will be available at sepaklaar.nl.
