Gerot Lannach Group takes over 100% of Varioform PET Verpackung GmbH from UIAG and Oberbank . The transaction was coordinated by BAST AG.
Varioform, located in Lower Austria, produces preforms for PET bottles for companies of the beverages and consumer goods industry. In business year 2009/10 the company increased sales considerably and achieved results in the amount of EUR 40 million by selling approximately 750 million preforms. Varioform contributes to sustainability and climate protection by usage of recyclate material to a large extent. The new owners will support the positive development with further investments.
UIAG acquired Varioform PET Verpackung GmbH in July 2007 and held 75.1% of the company. UIAG will obtain a reflow of funds in the amount of EUR 9.75 million plus an earnout of EUR 0.75 million at most.
