companies/Change of corporate name
Cuxhaven, March 16, 2009 - Operatively,
Plambeck Neue Energien AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2) has already completed
concentration on the central business of wind-farm projecting onshore
and offshore. In future, this strategic re-alignment shall also to be
visible in the name of the enterprise. The Board of Directors and the
Supervisory Board are therefore suggesting a change of the corporate
name to "PNE Wind AG" to the Shareholders' Meeting taking place in
Cuxhaven on May 14, 2009.
"The company is on a consistent growth course", Chairman of the Board
Martin Billhardt explains the suggestion. "With the projecting of
wind-farms, we are pursuing a sustainable, focussed and independent
business model. We wish to document our central competence and the
increasing international alignment even more strongly by the new name
and the addition to the company logo 'Passion for Energy'." In
addition, the new company name also reduces the risk of confusions
with former affiliated companies. At the same time, in the Chairman
of the Board's opinion, the new name also underlines the continuity
in the corporate development. "For this reason, we are convinced that
we are showing the profile and the alignment of the company to the
outside concisely with 'PNE Wind AG' and are simultaneously building
a bridge between the past and the future."
Corporate profile:
Plambeck Neue Energien AG with its headquarters in Cuxhaven plans and
implements wind-farm projects on land (onshore) and at sea
(offshore). The key competence of the company is the development,
projecting, implementation and financing of wind-farms and their
operation and sale with subsequent service. Up to now, the enterprise
has set up 88 wind-farms with 503 wind-energy systems and a total
nominal output of 699 MW.
Alongside the business activity on the established German market, the
company is increasingly expanding into dynamic growth markets. Via
joint ventures, Plambeck Neue Energien AG is already represented in
Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Great Britain, Ireland and Romania. In
these countries, wind farm projects with a nominal output of up to
1,430 MW are under development and are to be realized in the medium
term. Furthermore a subsidiary is founded in the USA. In Germany
(onshore) wind-farm projects with a nominal output of more than 400
MW are under development, of which 82 MW are under construction.
Over and above this, Plambeck Neue Energien AG develops offshore
wind-farm projects, of which two major projects in German waters have
already been approved. Entry to promising foreign markets is also
being examined for the offshore area.
