Lundbeck Selects MCI to Provide a Fully-Managed Worldwide Network

MCI, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCIP) today announced that the international pharmaceutical company H. Lundbeck A/S has selected MCI to link 58 of its site across Europe, Asia and North and South America using MCI Private IP, a network-based MPLS solution, and MCI IP Dedicated, as well as colocation services.
H. Lundbeck A/S is engaged in research and development, production, marketing and sale of drugs for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders such as depression, schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease. Lundbeck also offers education to health care providers, patients and their relatives.

To connect its sales offices, production sites and warehouses, Lundbeck will use MCI Private IP, an MPLS-based IP communication, for all its mission-critical data traffic, production, research and development, and the company's financial control system. An MCI IP Dedicated connection provides each regional centre, working as a hub for all other sites, with Internet access. The IT platform of the regional centres in Asia, North and South America are collocated to MCI's Network Colocation.
MCI Private IP is a high performance, reliable network that can offer maximum flexibility, security and connectivity. It can carry all types of traffic on a single VPN -- voice, data, business-critical data, video and email -- and provides a strategic platform for IP Convergence.
