The board of directors has appointed Dr. Hanspeter Kaspar as new chief financial officer (CFO) of Valartis Group and Valartis Bank. As of now the position is filled on an interim basis. Hanspeter Kaspar will join the executive boards of Valartis Group and Valartis Bank. He will take up his position by 1 December 2008 at the latest.
Hanspeter Kaspar (b. 1964, Swiss) has vast experience in management positions in the financial industry. In the last six years he was head of finance and controlling at Vontobel Group. Prior to this position he was, among other things, managing auditor for banking at the auditing firm Price Waterhouse and held various management positions in accounting/controlling at Credit Suisse First Boston. After his MBA studies he completed his training to become a federally certified accountant; in the year 2000 he received his Dr. oec. publ. from the University of Zurich.
