Supervisory Board Chairman
28.03.2008
At today's meeting of the Süd-Chemie AG Supervisory Board, its
Chairman, Dr. Dietrich Schulz, 75, informed that for reasons of age,
he would be retiring from his position as member of the Supervisory
Board with effect from the close of the company's forthcoming Annual
General Meeting to be held on 30 May 2008.
The Süd-Chemie AG Supervisory Board thanked Dr. Schulz for his many
years as an active member of the board and acknowledged his great
service to the company. Dr. Schulz has been a Supervisory Board
member since 1977, acting as Deputy Chairman from 1988 to 1992 and
from 1999 to 2006. Since 2006, he had headed the Süd-Chemie AG
Supervisory Board as Chairman.
In addition to Dr. Schulz's resignation, the appointment of Professor
Dr. Dr. h.c. Utz-Hellmuth Felcht to the Supervisory Board, which was
approved by the registrar of companies at Munich Local Court
following an application by Süd-Chemie AG's Supervisory Board and
Managing Board, will also expire at the close of the company´s Annual
General Meeting. As a result, two Supervisory Board members must be
newly elected by Süd-Chemie shareholders. At the Annual General
Meeting to be held on 30 May 2008, the Supervisory Board will
therefore be proposing that Professor Dr. Felcht, Partner of One
Equity Partners Europe GmbH, Munich and Mr. Christopher von Hugo,
Managing Partner of One Equity Partners Europe GmbH, Frankfurt am
Main be elected to the Supervisory Board.
