Supervisory Board re-elections at Süd-Chemie´s Annual General Meeting; Chairman: Dr. Dietrich Schulz

At the Süd-Chemie AG Annual General Meeting held today, six
shareholders´ representatives were elected to the Supervisory Board
following expiry of its previous term of office. A large majority of
the shareholders voted in favour of the proposal submitted by the
former Supervisory Board.
As of 13 June 2006, Süd-Chemie AG´s Supervisory Board will consist of
the former members Dr. Dietrich Schulz, a member of the AdCapital AG
and Drägerwerk AG supervisory boards, Dr. Peter Schweighart, a
partner in the law firm Hoffmann Eitle Patent- und Rechtsanwälte, and
Dr. Dolf Stockhausen, Chairman of the Shareholders´ Committee at EAT
GmbH and a member of the Capital Bank-Grawe Group AG supervisory
board, as well as the new members, Mr. Christoph Giulini, a partner
in One Equity Partners Europe GmbH, Dr. Hans Heinrich von Srbik, a
member of the Messerschmitt Stiftung board of trustees and Mr.
Konstantin Winterstein, a qualified engineer at BMW AG. The three
employees´ representatives on the Supervisory Board comprise the
former members Mr. Peter Simon and Mr. Rainer Seufert, as well as Mr.
Johann Meier who was newly-elected by those employees entitled to
vote.
At the Supervisory Board Meeting which followed the Annual General
Meeting, Dr. Schulz, for many years Deputy Chairman of the
Supervisory Board, was elected Chairman, and Mr. Giulini Deputy
Chairman.
