Jan Wolpert Joins Clearview Projects as President & CEO

Clearview Projects, Inc. announced today that Jan Wolpert has joined the company as President & CEO. Most recently, Jan was the president, founder and principal owner of Wolpert Associates, Inc., a strategic management consulting firm specializing in corporate development matters.
With offices in both New Jersey and California, Clearview Projects provides biopharmaceutical companies with analytical and tactical support for strategic business transactions, including co-development/commercialization, in/out-licensing, and M&A activity. Clearview also provides clients with strategic business assessments including high level strategy development, portfolio analyses, product forecasting, and asset valuations. Mr. Wolpert will work out of the company's Princeton, New Jersey office.
Jan Wolpert has over 20 years of general management, corporate development and strategic planning experience in the life sciences industry and other industrial sectors. He has led the conceptualization and execution of over 50 complex corporate development transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures, private and public company spin-offs, venture capital, public company financings and alliances/licensing. An acknowledged expert on corporate development initiatives, strategic planning and restructuring matters, he has written for numerous business publications and has been a panelist or speaker at many conferences.
While a Vice President of Corporate Business Development at Pharmacia from 2000 to 2003 (now an affiliate of Pfizer) and as Vice President of Venture Capital/Mergers & Acquisitions at its predecessor Monsanto from 1996 to 2000, he directed the corporation's aggressive restructuring and new venture activities. His managerial and transaction leadership was instrumental in the formation of numerous private companies, including Biovitrum AB (biopharmaceuticals), Metaphore Pharmaceuticals (small molecule drugs) and Mendel Biotechnology (functional genomics), and the spin-off of Monsanto's former holdings in consumer packaged food, food ingredients, nutritional biotechnology and advanced materials. His past employers have included PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, where he co-led the firm's New York City-based restructuring practice. He holds an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School and a B.S. in electrical engineering from The University of Maryland at College Park. Jan resides in northern New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
